FS propane injection kit. NIB

I have a complete propane injection kit that I bought last year and have decided not to install it...need the cash. Other than to make sure it was all there I have not had it out of the box. I did buy a propane tank for it...its the smallest one I could get, and it is about 75% full, so I cannot ship it. The reason, its not completely full is that I ran out of prop on my gas grill in the middle of a party and had to use it. The IPO kit sells new for $250 plus shipping and the tank costs another $30, so if someone wants to give me $250 and can meet me somewhere near Cincinnati, its yours.

You can use those on a NA gas engine?

I know about using them on TDI (diesel) setups, but I've never heard of them on regular engines.
I have a friend that may be interested. His forum name is NXCrazy and i will direct him to this thread.

They can be used on anything! If you hook the Hobbs switch to your vacuum system it will actuate a a preset boost allowing crazy boost on pump gas. Also, if you know anything about propane, it gets down to like -30 when changing from liquid(bottle) to gas(discharge) the trick is to get it as close to the nozzle as possible for best chilling results. Its kinda like nitrous and fuel all in one tank.

WHAT??!!!? I never knew that, I have always heard of water or methanol injection, but not propane.
Propane has been used for years on turbo diesels...it works great, plus it keeps the top half of the engine spotless. It is can increase 93 pump gas to 100 octane or better. Plus, it contains no lead to screw up your cat ans o2 sensors. With a simple turn of the needle valve you can make your car so pig rich it blows raw fuel out the exhaust. The big problem a lot of people have with propane is that they mount it in the trunk and it comes up in temp as it travels to the intake tract....so it looses a little of its cooling capacity. However, the octane is still there, so it helps but not like it could. I was looking at Tuned200's car and see plenty of room to mount and thermally isolate the tank right behind the driver's headlamp. There is just no room for it under the hood of my Typhoon, thats why I am willing to sell it...plus I need the cash for other projects.

When I went to GM tech training center for a/c I learned that propane is actually a better refrigerant than freon, it is just not stable enough in the event of impact/explosion. When a/c systems run pressures over 1000psi, it could make 1 hellova bang if a spark were introduced. Hence we have r12 and r134 instead of propane.

If you read up in some of the old "SA" performance how to books they talk about converting to propane as a higher octane alternative to pump gas.

I am definitely interested in this kit. Coach told me about the thread but I have been busy and I just now got the time to read the thread. Oh yeah I just sent a pm to you about this.
