I'm about to pull the engine from my '93 G20. Here's the question. Is there enough clearance in the engine bay to pull the engine from above? Or must it come out the bottom, as shown in the shop manual. And will the engine come out without the gearbox?

It can be taken out from above. I've heard of several folks who have done it that way sucessfully.
