Say anyone bought cheap coilovers off of ebay? If so have you had any problems with them,,hows the ride. I am going to get some GC's but can't afford them right now and want a cheap pair of coilovers so I can get my ride off the ground for the rest of the winter.

Spend your money right and buy quality coilovers. You'll regret buying the cheap crap you see on Ebay.
I almost bought some for the hell of it, but bought a valve cover instead :D
like I said I can't right now and need to raise my car.
..

"Stay away from the Cheap Crap"..

..I use to have the Arospeed Coilovers..$125 ..dayum, I really regret buying those.. ..the ride was hell the whole time I had them.
..My shocks & struts gave out quick & I was feeling every bump on the road..

..but I saved up & got the Motivational Coilovers. :D :D ..the ride is so much more better..

..don't go for the cheap stuff..

"you bought what you paid for"
How much were the motivatioals??
You could use the sleeve and collar from the coilovers and then get some ERS eibachs.
there you go,,,thinking ahead and not just slamming me for asking about some cheap ****. How much are the ERS's

That's why I almost bought the cheap ones :D
How much are the ERS springs
i bought cheap ass ebay coilovers, the ride is stiff, the shocks are blown, and it goes over bumps like ****.

but if u need to lower the car like i did, (dunno why u said u gotta raise it) go ahead and get them, just beware that your gonna need shocks/struts asap.
the spring rates are insanely stiff 400 front, 350 rear.
as most cheap coilovers are.

AGX's next for me, then Ground Control.

sorry everyone, i just really cant stand stock height, lol
ok. someone answer the question, how much for the ERS springs? a long time ago i bought some crap coilovers on ebay. if you want them you can have them for $85 shipped. they are still in the box, perfectly new.
I'm probably gonna get flamed for this..but my friend has coilovers on his se-r, Ground controls in the front, some other ones in the back (dont ask). Anyway, his back ones dont make ANY noise, while my Ground Controls sound like I'm carring a car full of empty glass bottles everywhere I go.
Well a friend I knew bought cheap coilovers on eBay for his Accord a few years ago.

A week later his wheel fell off.

LOL, you can't blame the springs for that.
I'm all for someone buying ERS springs and cheap eBay coilovers for the collar/perch. Why pay GC $200 for collars and perches when you can get them for $50-$90? They're the same damn thing. If my cost on GC's wasn't what it was, I would be pissed for not going this route myself. My impression is that it's the ERS springs that make GC's noisy. I don't have any squeaks, just sometimes when I turn it sounds like someone busted a bed spring. If you want motivationals, then make them yourself. Buy the ERS springs $200, the Koni struts $560, the ebay coilovers for the collars and perches $90, get some ES bumpstops for $30 or get the koni's for $60, get the GC camber kit $380? (GC's website is sooo gay can't find the damn camber kit), Cut the tops off the OEM strut housings, cut the perches off just leave tabs to hold the collar on, or if you're really anal, cut the perches off and weld a sleeve on to hold the collar on, shorten the housing for extra travel. Why pay Motivational $1440 for them when you can make them youself and have the GC camber kit as well, and all for $100-$150 less in the end? **** spend that savings on some Shigspeed rear mounts and you'd have the ultimate setup. Motivational isn't doing anything extraordinary that a guy with a few tools and a little talent can't do himself.

Well I just replaced my Ebay coilovers with some H&R sport springs on my B13 let me tell the ride is a whole lot better and I can really tell a difference in handling so I guess thats good. Just to give you the heads up the ones I had for my car has a spring rate of 450p in the front and 350p in the rear. Thats just insane. Thats 150p more in the front and the rear than is recommended for the B13. Im going to retain my collars though as I may buy some ERS springs later this year.

Haha well consider the car was totally stock until he put the coilovers on, and then 'coicidentally' the wheel fell off the car a week later while driving.
