Heres what I'd like to do, I'd just like your opinions on how the battery will hold up. I plan to run aftermarket Speakers off my CD deck. Then I'd Like to run a single 10" speaker with maybe 300watts. Will I run into any problems? Also what sub would you guy reccomend for a decent price. I already have a box thats 1.2cf thats sealed.

This is the amp I'm thinking. Also, since its a mono amp and I'd like to run it at 2ohm How would I need to wire the speaker? It would need to be a DVC 4ohm correct? Forgive me, I haven't been into stereos for a while.

And this speaker. Notice I'd like to stick with products from Best buy, I get a deal ;)

The battery doesn't do anything while the car's running, the alternator provides all the power the electrical system needs. A stereo wouldn't be a drain on your battery as long as the engine's running. You probably couldn't listen very long with the engine off, but once you get it started it won't hurt anything. Although, I sort of question the reasoning behind removing ~30lb of weight from the car, and then adding at least that much back with a sub box.

I bought one of the smaller 7x5x7 westco SVR batteries for my car. It is really tiny, but it weighed like 20lbs on my bathroom scale. If that is to heavy, then you need to use a cap with your amp and the hawker should work.

Probably not a good idea. Give me the Hawker and get a real battery if you want a bumpin sytem y0. Where are you getting that box from? ;)
Finders keepers. The battery size was not for weight reduction it was to make room for I/C piping. It fits in Perfect. trunk mounting is not an option since the tracks I run at require a huge on/off switch in the rear when trunk mounted. Here in muskegon we still have a drive in theater that we go to weekly so I may just buy a circuit breaker and switch it off while there. The weight is not a huge concern as everything will be easily removable. I have heard that even though the alternator Takes over while the car is running that it can still have an effect on the electrical system if the battery is not strong enough.
