Hi guys,
I replaced my headgasket with an aftermarket one which is .030" thicker and the now the engine bearly runs. Does anyone have any experience with this?? Any ideas??? The timing is set as per manual!

My theory is that now that the head is raised the camshafts had to rotate aprox. 4deg to compensate that. It means that that the relationship between the camshats and crankshaft is mismached now, causing the exhaust valves open before combustion cycle is completed and also causing the intake valves opening too early. Therefore totaly screwing up the motor.

Anyone have another theory??

was it a metal head gasket if so, did you have the head resurfaced?... might wanna do a leak down test also....
