I am soooooo mad.
I was just under my car before picking up something I dropped that rolled underneath and I took a look at my Hotshot header flex pipe. THE BITCH IS COVERED IN RUST!
I've only had it on the car since November. Godamn. Anyone know of any warranties or anything on those? I bought it brand new from JWT last fall. Unreal. This East coast winter has been a hard one.

I've got the same problem. My entire secondary from the Flex-pipe back is rusted, and the rest is also rusting a bit as well. Granted, I've had the header for over a year, but the rust started to form only a few months after I had the header installed (October of 1999, I think.)

I may just use high-temp paint to cover it up (have to sand off the rust first... hmmm, I'm too lazy to do that); however I've heard (from the National Mailing List a while back) that you can send the header back to HotShot and get it re-coated.

Pit, I'm assuming that sending the header to Hotshot to be re-coated is NOT free?
We can hope can't we?

Well, I did a bit of research using the archives, but you're going to have to do the rest, because I'm lazy and it's past my bedtime already, hehe:

So, if your header is JetHot coated, the coating supposedly has a lifetime warranty. Now, all you have to do is figure out whether or not your header is JetHot coated...
