Yes it will. All '91'-'99 SR20 blocks are the same.

EDIT

All SR20DE blocks are the same.

hey man hows it.
have you got all the manifolds and stuff as well to go with the head? why not do some work to your current head? get it opened up a little and freshened up. nothing wrong with the low port head.

Thanks for all the responses guys, I appreciate it. The reason that i'm using a high port head is because i want to leave my lowport head untouched in case something goes wrong.One more question, would i have to change the intake manifold, or would the lowport intake manifold fit the high port head? Thanks again guys.

No. I asked this question on the list a long time ago just out of curiosity, and I was told it doesn't work that way.

Um, Project SE-R;

Isn't this a topic you will be GREATLY interested in, regardless?

You know you want what I've got. Yeah, it's bare and will need some work....but it would kick ass on your '95.

I forgot to mention....I do have another highport intake manifold....it's been drilled/tapped for direct port nitrous use, but the holes are a little bit too close to the fuel rail. I could plug 'em up with JB Weld, though. You'd never know....

Come to the highport Dark Side, my friend.....

HEY SERprise! Tell me how utilizing the highport head and intake manifold would be better. IM not being a smartass here, I really dont know, honest!
Is that other intake the JDM like the other or US?

Oh yeah, ow much work would need to be done to the head? I was going to have it machined and planed(sp?) and a little angle valve job done on it. HELP ME YODA!

John and JRios;

From where I sit, you'd need a highport cylinder head (duh) and a highport intake manifold (both upper and lower sections). Your throttle body would be moved, but not too much.

John;
My JDM will stay with the turbo (IF and WHEN it arrives, that is). The US one can be plugged up and will be ready to go. Don't ask me how I know if JB Weld works like this...

The cylinder head I have is completely bare, and would need the treatment you mentioned above, plus transfer of all valves, retainers, springs, etc. It is completely bare.

(Edit) Of course, you both will have to consider the OBD1 vs. OBD2 questions, and problems (read: check engine lights) that this might trigger in your cars. I *think* 1995 cars were the last year of OBD1, but I could be wrong. 1996 is definitely a OBD2 car, and this swap might set off check engine lights/codes from here til Sunday, for all I know. (/Edit)

In order to swap a high port head into a 200SX, you will need the following:

1. high port throttle cable
2. high port cruise control cable/unit
3. high port PCV hose
4. high port intake manifold and throttle body, complete with all hoses and throttle cable bracket
5. support bracket from block to intake manifold
6. high port intake tube from MAF to throttle body
7. high port power steering pump (or just the elbow that leads to the fluod reservoir)

That is about it.

Good luck,

Well, guys, that about kills that idea, I guess. Too much stuff, IMHO.

Thanks for detailing it, Jay.

I had a rough idea of what was involved with lowport engines, but am stuck in HighPort Land, and I like it.

Thanks for all the help guys, I appreciate it. Guess I'll just stay with my lowport head, it's to much trouble, not worth the hassle for me. Anybody have a lowport head that there willing to sell? The reason I wanted to know if it would work was because I wanted to do some work on the high port head and I didn't want to use the original head so that I could keep it stock and put it back on the car in case that something happened. But anyways, thanks again guys.
