Whats a safe amount for the stock cast piston? is 900 too high? (usein Greddy EGT gauge) I know the DSM's 900 is just about right on the line of fast an deadly.
Highest EGT for Stock SR20DE piston?

900 degrees C I hope you mean.
I really wish I knew. I searched through the DSM archives for hours one night on this topic and seemed to garnish that 1600-1650 degrees Farenheit was about max. I assumed that would be the same as an SR20 motor, but who knows. There are A LOT more turbo DSMs than SR20s obviously, so if the DSM list really can't decide on a fixed number for it (believe me, I tried to find a definitive answer, but only got general opinions and took my own from it all), the SR20 world won't be anywhere near a notion for this.
