I can't speak for anyone's taste in body cladding, but the Sunfire is old hat, ready to send to the glue factory.

GM is just buying time to get the upcoming Cavalier/Opel Astra replacement into production. I'm guessing this ECOTECH 2.2L replaces the old 2.4L in a stab at modernization of a chassis that is at least six years old.

If GM plays its cards right, the next Cavalier/Sunfire might be a desirable compact (Astra Turbo meets Z24 tuning?).
