I have a old first Gen Hotshot header, that has been re- welded at the 1-4 Y so many times it's not funny. I've been thinking cutting the flange off of it , and fabbing my own turbo mainfold. I know a guy that can TIG like nobody's business, and all I have to pay for is filler rod. Do you guys think the flange is a good start? I thought it might be a good idea to , cut some reliefs in the flange for expansion. Also the holes for exhaust studs look a little tight , think I might enlarge them too. Opinions and comments please..

My first manifold was built off a hotshot flange, though he bought it right from hotshot and didn't murder a header for it. THey are nice flanges.

I've seen the Ebay stuff, as well as the JGStools kits. This header is ROUGH, and thought it might be a good start. I want to upgrade but, I'm torn between T3/T4 and the DiscoPotatoHead Turbo. T3/T4 is alot more work(manifold,Down pipe etc) but the Potato is kinda high. hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.....
