So glad this board is back up...

I have a choice between finding used Gen 3 headers or trying to find new cheap gen 4. What are the differences in construction and horsepower gains between the two, and what are some opinions on which route to take?

TIA all.

Also while we are on the subject how can you tell the different generations apart if you were to by HS headers from a company other than HotShot or JWT.

I will prob buy from HS but I also saw some HS headers on importpartsplus.com

I too will like to know how to tell the different generations apart. I just ordered from JWT yesterday and should be here soon. I asked the guy if it was a Gen. 4, he said he didn't exactly know, but he said it was the latest one out.

Ok well let me first say I'm not completely sure about it but, the HS gen 4 have cnc machined flanges, and they also look much nicer then any of the previous years. Supposedly they flow better then any of the other generations.
