well you read the subject, any guesses as to what I will get. if I pull any less than 185 at the wheels w/ NOS, do you know someone that will buy a 98 se-r w/ just about everything you can think of besides a tv, turbo, or cams

With a 50 shot I hope at least 200. With a couple bolt ons 140 at the wheels is easy, so my guess is right around 200

Youn should get 200HP, or real close. Provided your NOS set up is dialed in right.

So you've got all the bolt ons except cams (you still have the stock cams, not even a 92 intake cam... come on.. get that 98 cam outta there...)?
I'd guess 138-140hp, depending on your timing (without the 50shot, obviously). I've seen dynos that 50shots gave more than 60hp, and some the gave exactly 50whp.
190-195hp w/50shot??

overly disappointed, but I have an excuse. well, the first dyno run I pulled 118.1 at the wheels in fourth gear, the second one I got 119.1 at the wheels in third gear, by then I was pretty pissed and just told em' to see what it would do with the 60 shot anyways, we let the car cool down a little bit and I pull 157.4 at the wheels, but I get 163.1 ft lbs of torque (at 2700 rpms) we kind of diagnosed my problems being I have two vaccum hoses mixed up and should run right with them turned around, also I am going to try to gap my plugs close b/c I was getting mild detonation starting around 5700 rps. with all that said, a pretty diappointing day, and to make it all worse, I come home and check my timing, it is set at 0 degrees, no not 15, 0 I will probably get another 10 or so at the wheels with that stupid little mess up. oh well, life goes on and cams go in :-(

Ahh, shake it off, man. When you get it tuned and see the difference then you'll be jumping for joy. And you should also be happy since the problems were so minor and easy to be corrected.

Brian, what are your exact mods?
Didn't the car run like **** at 0 degrees? When I put the cams in and reattached the distributor, the car ran like ****. Checked the timing, around zero degrees. Put it to 15 degrees (and then 17 )and the car ran fine. I would think you'll get more than 10 whp. Some people have gotten 3-4hp going from 15 to 17 degrees. But what do I know?
So what does your car sound like at 5700 rps (revs per second) hehe.

I am pretty much over it now b/c I went out and changed up some stuff (put it back to stock, JK) and runs fine now, what a diffrence a vaccum hose can make, now it blows em' off easilly through second gear. makes me feel a little better, I am still pretty happy with the 163.1 ft lbs of torque at the wheels. that pretty much equates to 212 lb ft of torque at the fly

Hey that's what the DYNO is all about. Finding the problem about you car and fixing it. That torqe mesurement is good for a car with problems.

Do anyonw know where I can get a car dynoed in the New York New Jersey area? When my sr20det swap(in a B12 sentra) is finished, I want to strap that baby up & see how much it puts out. The power to weight ratio is will be much better than a se-r with the sr20det.

Brian, actually your fly TQ is 187.5 not what you said. You always loose up to 15% max. And I did 15% which is normal for 5spds....autos 18%. But that is still good TQ

I didn't get a chance to weight the car yet. But im guess that the car weight 300 less than the 91 se-r. It's not street legal right now(no insureance or license plates) so I can't drive it as yet.

I did how ever towed the car to the track when I finished the ca18det swap. I did a 15.0 in the quarter mile with 3psi of boost(which is around 140- 150hp's)without a intercooler also! I also had a whole lot of juck from in my shop in the car (spare tires, extra battery, tools). I think that it weight more than a se-r at that time.
