So, the new jdm engine is installed and does not want to fire.

The battery has plenty of power and starter is cranking well.

Tested injectors by removing fuel rail and cranking engine, they are getting fuel. I gapped the plugs at 34 (haynes manual) and have have spark to all cyliders.
Plug wires are in right, fuel lines are correct.

What am i missing? I am currently using the jdm distributor, and knock sensor.
If its a distributor issue, what should i be looking for? Should i be using the usdm knock sensor?

Are there any basic timing methods that i am overlooking? If it is a timing problem, were should i start in establishing it correctly?

I love working on machines.:biggthump

I'm having a similar problem myself with no luck but you could try pegging the distributor to one side then the other to see if the ingnition timing is off or establish TDC and then making sure the #1 cylinder has already fired, justb to be sure that the timing is right.
