intake/exhaust combo for scca sts

Questions for the sr20 motor gurus. Im building a 91 Se-r STS contender. and im looking for suggestions for the best intake/exhaust combo for SCCA STS class. This is not my first go around with se-r and autocrossing.

While Horsepower is king I think that throttle response and efficiency would be better in this application.

I do have a HS genII header and UR pulleies

ported intake and throttle body with a bored maf maybe?
Will a GTir quad throttle body work with N/A motor?

Now as for suspension I'm all ok there.

All suggestions are apperciated and welcomed just remember it must be STS legal.

Thanks

You can't use cams right? Keep your headers, run a Hotshot CAI and up your fuel pressure by 5 psi. I would put a clamp on K&N or JWT POPcharger on it because the Hotshot filter is not so good for filtering. Get a JWT ECU. Run a 2.5" exhaust with stargith through peforated core mufflers.

Bored throttle bodys, MAF's etc, are not effective until you get over 180 whp.

stargith through peforated core mufflers
stargith, huh??......where do we get those???? :D
you are going to have to stay away from a cai if you really want to be in STS because the installation involves enlarging the hole in your engine bay. but you can search for the whole cai in sts debate stuff because its been covered a few times

I'd start here because you can't do a lot of that stuff in STS.

So far so good. Thanks for the link to the STS rules but i know the rules already. It will be a WAI, I am looking into the NISMO FPR which means that I can not change the ECU.

I am giving thought to a ported intake manifold with a TB. What a about a alternate injector that is close to stock in the way of cc's but it offers more torque or power
Maybe run a different spark plug (hotter or colder) to handle more fuel and air coming in.

Now these are just thoughts and ideas. I know that with the STS rules Hp gains are going to be hard to come by BUT If I can change the power band and maybe gain some HP that would be more benefcial.
Several years ago when I autoxing every weekend I tested 3 different exhuast with 3 different mufflers and you be amazed at the seat of the pants difference between them.

Thanks again
Scott
So this means NO CAMS, NO CAI. Cam timing? maybe

Again Thanks

I would run the ECU and fuel pressure regulator, if cam timing changes are allowed, I would spend a lot of dyno time tuning the best cam, igntion and fuel pressure. Run the stock plugs.

I think you mean ignition timing.
Actually both ignition and cam timing. Its a trick that some SCCA IT racers used. Now in the rules YOU CAN NOT RUN A
FPR AND AN ALTERED ECU. Its one or the other.
