Four stacked 215-45-15 Toyo T1-S tires on the left, four 205-50-15 Azenis on the left.

Those are some WIDE 205 tires!

Stack of tires on far right are 155-80-13 Kumhos :D

Much thanks to Chris Scarpulla for the sale. I'm very pleased with them, and I'm looking forward to having track tires and wheels for both wet and dry.

please let me know how well the 215s fit
On an NX2000, the 215 tires fit perfectly. 215-45-15 is less than 1% error from the stock 195-55-14 tire.

It's the largest tire you can fit in there without rolling the fenders. 15x7 wheel, +35 offset. The Classic has slightly less clearance in the rear than the NX2000, so YMMV.

I am having trouble fitting 205-55R15s under my KYBs in the rear, so my next tire purchase was going to be 205-45R15 Azenis, but I have a chance to get some T1-S shoes at a good price. If the 215-45s will fit, I may go that route.
also, what's the treadware rating on the proxes? I know Azenis are 200 IIRC.

They don't make the Azenis in a 205/45/15.
ok dumb question time but the lower the offset ie +35 as to +40 means the tire on the rim will be pushed out to the fender? +38 is stock right? main reason for the question is because i have the fenders rolled on my car and wanted to run a nice set of 215 or 225 on eithr 15s or 16s if i could. the car is also on agx gc suspension.

I have those T1-S's in 195-45-14 hehe. Is the width on your wheels the same?

That's not a dumb question at all. It's actually very confusing. If you have a B13 (Classic or NX2000), stock offset is +40.

The Classic has a 5.5" stock wheel, the NX has a 6" wide wheel (I believe - it's early, someone correct me if I'm wrong).

I'm running wheels that are an inch wider than stock 7", and yes, the lower the number, the wider the track, since it's positive offset. +35 pushes the track outwards 5 mm wider than stock.

225 will not fit without rolling the inside lip of the rear fenders, even on the NX2000, which has more room back there. IMO, 215-45-15 is a perfect fit and size, and is the largest tire I can put back there safely.

I love fat tires on a small car, and I think it looks cool too!

yup

No - I think the B14 wheels are 6.5" wide, but I'm not sure. You can see that the sidewall necks in a bit, and the Azenis will be better on a 7" wide wheel.

I'm actually thinking of putting the Azenis on the Volks, since the Volks have better cooling with a more open spoke design, and cooling won't be an issue with the T1-S tires, which I'll only use in the rain.

Would there be any clearance/rubbing issues on a B14 with 215-50-15 on a stock b14 ser rim?
I believe someone has ran 215's on their b14. Nitrous autob14 I believe. Maybe they were 205/60s cant remember, just know they were bigger and had a lot of meat.
In the original pic that look right around 40mm.
195/50R15 is damn near the same as 185/60R14, so if you've got a B13 and want your speedo accurate, that's the size to get. You can also get away with 195/45R16.
