Hi everyone, I've posted a couple times before, but I decided to formally introduce myself. My username pretty much gives you my name and I'm in the Bay Area, CA (specifically Menlo Park for anyone that cares). I drive a 1991 black Sentra SE-R powered by a JDM SR20 with a bunch of goodies. I don't have any pics yet, but will soon!

Yesterday I did the JWT S3 cam swap (anyone interested in a Primera intake cam?). First time for me actually doing any work inside the engine, but it wasn't that bad. Anyway, it's pretty straight-forward and I HIGHLY recommend the mod! Anything I can say about them will just be repeating what you can find in se-r.net and in the archives there. They really are that good.

Well, take care all and keep spreading the word of the SR20DE!

Antonio
91 SE-R w/ JDM SR20DE, HS G3 header, GReddy exhaust, PR CAI, UR Pullies, JWT S3 cams, JWT ECU, JWT 50 shot N2O, JWT PP, SMC S/S, AGX/GC 300/200...soon to have AD22VF brakes and Zex flywheel.

Drag times coming soon also!
Best to date: [email protected] w/ header, CAI, exhaust (but on my old engine

Redman: How's the JWT 50 shot running? Are you running lean at all w/ a 60 shot jet? What size jet did you move up to anyway?

I love my JWT NOS kit, but a few extra safe hp would be sweet!

Thanks!

The part number for jets from NOS is #13750 - [size of jet]. The jet that comes w/ the JWT 50 shot system is .036" so that part number would be #13750-36.

I found a website that gives NOS recommended nitrous jet sizes for some hp levels.

50 hp - 37 jet
75 hp - 42 jet
100hp - 47 jet
125hp - 55 jet
150hp - 63 jet

So, if that chart is correct, it looks like JWT gives you a jet that would give ~50 hp on a "conventional" nitrous kit. However, JWT's nitrous daughterboard also has special timing and fuel curves while on the juice, so I'd imagine that's where the extra 15 hp comes from. If someone else can prove me wrong, please do!

I always thought that the jwt 50shot was actually a 65 shot jet. There was some speculation about this a while back, since the 50shot actually made more than 50 wheel hp on the dyno. Can you guys verify by the part number (if any) on the "50shot" jet?

the Jw system comes with a .036 jet. so I put the next size jet .038 notrunning lean at all since I checked the plugs and the a/f meter also gives it a little uumf. feels a little better more wheel chirpping.

Damn, I'm up in the city working today but I didn't drive (took CalTrain) and the cam is sitting at home back in Menlo.

Do you go to Sears Point every Wednesday? If so, I could meet you up there next week and bring the cam. Let me know...

Hmmm...no detonation and no lean conditions? I just might go ahead and get me a 38 jet then and try it out. I feel a lot better that you're having no problems with the upgraded jet and also have 10:1 CR like me.

I read back a while back that Jay Hassinger said even a .041 jet could work on the JWT 50 shot system...but with GREAT caution. You can find the message here:

http://www.se-r-list.org/archives/1999/1999-11/msg00593.html

Anyways, I think I'll try the 38 jet soon! In the name of innovation, of course!
