That's NICE!

Please forgive my ignorance, but do those still use 1 head gasket on the top between the plate and the head, or are there 2, one between the block and the plate and one between the plate and the head?

Looking good!
Cool, that's sorta what I figured, but I wasn't sure how it sealed on the bottom. I think that's the first one I've seen or heard of on an SR20. This will open up a whole new can of worms in the all motor SR20 arena! :)
Great work, those guys at Golden Eagle so great work hope you get all the power you are loking for. What size motor are you going for?
2.7 liters. it still needs a little refinment. this is the first one so there were a few snags. i will let you guys know when its all worked out. this requires a lot of custom parts like chain, chain guide and such.
very nice. keep us up to date.
are you dry sumping it to make room under the hood? or is there no clearance issues?
tom your a ricer man, ummm how about this i send u my blue motor that dre got and u give me that motor :) LOL nah good work man, talk to you later...

(BTW thanks for that goodie :) )
wow, I just stared at it for a few seconds taking it all in. What kind of HP are you estimating for this set up?
Is this motor still going to be able to rev as high as a ve needs?

a VE doesnt NEED to rev high to make power. it isnt a honda.
Got underhood clearance? :D

I gotcha, but it would still make more power when reved higher, thats all I mean.

define how high a VE needs to rev... isn't that dictated by the camshaft profile?

Yeah, it would be dictated by all the camshaft profiles. I'm not engine builder by any means, I just asked a question, because it seems as though the ve makes alot of its power way up top because of the high rpm cam profile. Thats just what I was thinking, I could be way off. I'm sure this engine will have great low end, and awesome top-end as well, just wondered what its going to be revved to.
:D

Happy Engine building.

with the stock ve cams or 20v cams you dont have to rev high to make alot of power, its got a flat torque line. maybe with the sr16 cams super high revving could benefit more. high revs with a VE is always good but not essential. im sure that thing will make plenty of power.
