Well after the poor showing at last years nationals I was looking to build my Z car into a SM2 car, but after this last weekend in SD against some top competition, the SE-R performed pretty good. Even though I finished in 8th place it was the best finish at a national evernt for me in that car since I started modding it. My time on Sunday was the fifth fastest and within striking distance of the leaders, and I still have some things to do.
1. remove AC
2. Install LCA Brace
3. Install poly bushings
4. Motor Mounts
5. Underdrive Pulleys
6. Rear STB
7. New lighter and lower racing seats.
8. Increase spring rate to 600F/800R/revalve the Koni's
9. Roll fender lips and drop car another inch.
10. Move battery to trunk.
11. Maybe a set of the 15x7.5 SSR's
I hope to get the car to about 2350 lbs, with these mods and an improvement in my driving I think I can beat the Civics.
It better because there will be nothing left to do.
