Okay heres the deal; Been driving my car here and there and then now all of a sudden I hear a noise coming from the flex pipe. This sounds not too bad but noticeable. Drive home and then when I wake up in the morning it gets worst. Take it down to my buddy at the local muffler shop and he tells me that its common that these go on my style car. So now i need to replace the entire front pipe. So what does that mean for me? I'm **** out of luck right now. So instead of getting a stock one for now guess I gotta wait around for some money and order my headers a lil sooner than I wanted. I will be going with the HS G3. I've heard good things about it so why not since I need to replace one thing anyways. Had to let it off somewhere thanxs for listening.

How long did you ride around with it busted though? I may have to ride around with it like that for about 2 weeks or so. Sound is getting worst every minute. Last year on my Jetta I had the header brak from the cat so that was extremely loud. Thank god I got that welded and it was solved for $20. But this one is going to hit me hard though $$$

I replaced my flex pipe (local shop cut it out. welded in new one) and found that the factory flex pipe is so damn small inside that replacing it was better for power then removing the cat. If you are going the low buck way of fixing it, replacement of the flex pipe with a 2inch is ideal. The SR20DE cats are pretty good with flow, but this flex pipe is micro inside. Anything is better then the factory flex pipe.

Same thing happened to me in my SE-R. Definately a fine time to get a header.

Ohh man just when I finally see another Nissan in town and I have this problem. Was a B14 Sentra with rims/exhaust/wing/lights/tints and he was after me. Little did he know I was experiencing technical diffuculties tonight. When I get my headers on I will approach him and see what he has in that Sentra. Damn....my luck!!!
