only jwt flywheel dosn't cause a cel light because it is designed to work with sensor in your trasmitions while all other's don't like fidanza
a JUN flywheel will also work and not set off the CEL
why is a little light such a big deal?take the instrament panel off take some needle nose pliers and pop that sucker i mean i like all my lights to be on it looks cool at night especially the orange antilock light

What year is your car. This problem only occurs in later models.

I got a 98 SE-R.
But my old CAI did set it off, so go figure
But I have to say that Stillen sux, I got a Header and it started to rust in just 100 miles..
Plus Stillen parts cost tooooo damn much..
ok take care...

In CA they wont even smog your car with a CEL.

I've had mine for plenty and no rust. It's just where you live.
My Fidanza set mine off too, I'm also going to just pop off the damn bulb. I haven't heard of a solution other than to go back to stock or get a JWT or JUN. The crank sensor is unable to pick up a signal on the Fidanza flywheel.

And now in certain areas of PA. He looked at my car, saw the CEL and didn't even bother testing it. I went through HELL because of that damn Fidanza flywheel with emissions.
the clutchnet flywheel wont trip the sensor light. but my egr will continuously light up the dash...
My Fidanza doesn't set off any lights, but I've got a '91. And that's one reason I love the Classics!
Yeah, if I remember it is only a problem on the b14.

On emissions, why don't you just unplug the bulb to pass?
for obd 2 they can plug the smog equipment into your ECU. then they will know if you have a cel. pre 98 it is an option for obd2, 98 and later the smog guy has to plug into the ECU. this is for the smog state of cali.

Wow. Here in Pennsylvania, ALL cars after 1995 are now subject to the diagnostic test. Thats amazing that PA has become more strict than the tree huggers out there. :D
Anybody know if the ZEX/CompCams ultra-light flywheel will set of the CEL?
