Well I have a friend who has a 97 BMW M3. It's a nice car but the guy talks sooo much trash about how fast it is. Well all he has is exhaust he might even just have a muffler. Given equal driver skill who would win? I have a 96 200sx se-r with JWT S3 Cams, JWT ECU, Hotshot Header, Place Racing CAI, Magnecore wires, Dunk muffler, NOS 60hp shot. I don't really have any excess weight since I took the stereo out, granted I have 18's but I'd be willing to take them off if need be. Thanks

Hey Matt.

How far are you from Tampa?
I need some major help with my Classic.
I have $700 to give up.
Which Mods should I get?
Should I go nitrous?
Or just header/exhaust?
All I have is intake right now.
HELP!!!

I'd think you'd stay by him on nitrous. My friend has a 95 M3 and it is sweet. I really like torque
But I'll kill him when I get my boost.

95 M3 is a different Engine. A little slower from slightly smaller displacement, and has some reliability problems(water pump I think). The 97, and above are outfitted with a newer engine. I think.

Heh...i was about to say YOU WISH till i saw you were running NOS. Do yourself the favor and take off the 18s cuz you will get much wheelspin from those tires

yeah the 95s run a 3.0 vs. the 96+ 3.2 I think with NOS you can take him, those things are fast around highway speeds so watch out. I would race him from a roll in second so wheelspin won't hurt you

Yah, lose the 18s... too much rotational mass. Slows your race. Then play with him around town.... highway is tougher with the Bimmers nice power band.

Hey I am in Miami and need help with my G20. I am willing to meet with anyone interested in swapping info. I am not mechanic and need help. I want to go DET possibly later but for now I want to really tune up advance timing and such ... let me know..

A couple months back i lined up w/ an M3 while night racing. My street launches, i try not to spin my tires at all, so i launch pretty low... 2500rpms or around there. The M3 i had no idea what it had on it, probably stock!

Anyways, first and second gear i had him pretty good, a carlength or so? but when we hit 3rd, that car caught up REAL quick, so much so that by mid 3rd gear, we were close to even. We were on a short track so i won that race.

He wanted a rematch, so we ran again. I spun my tires on my launch and he got a jump on me... i never caught up...

My mods: PR CAI, HS Header, 92 NX2K intake cam, courtesy midpipe, 5zigen fireball muffler and then suspension yada yada yada...

in short, he'lll beat you unless you juice it...

good luck, and drop your 18's...

well if you want it i have a NOS brand nos kit 50-75 shot for 350, only used like 3 times, drop me an email if interested!
