I use Mobil 1, although some seem to think it's bad for the transmission. I've used it for over 150,000 miles without problems, though. It takes about 4 quarts, I believe. Just put the car on level ground, without a jack, and fill until the oil is level with the fill hole.

I was gonna get Motul Gear 300, but realized that it is a GL5. Our FSM recommends the use of GL4 since apparently the extra additives in a GL5 eat away our syncros. I got the impression that if you are really beating the hell out of your tranny, get GL5 since you will probably injure your tranny before the additives in the GL5 eat your synchros. Otherwise, GL4 fluids such as MT90 will do just fine.

You'll need 4 quarts. These are the only cars I've ever heard of that take more gear oil than engine oil...

Their web page lists two and one is a 75W90 GL4. Or is that just one product with two ratings??
I ordered Motul Gear 300 expecting that it is a gl4. They sent me a gl5 and I called them and asked them to send me a gl4 and the person looked several times and came back with an answer of "thats the only kind of Motul Gear 300 we carry." So, according to him (didn't get his name) I assume thats all they carry. BTW, a gl5 fluid will list gl4 also since it exceeds it.
