Quick question, what is the max oil pressure on a NA SR20? I've heard it will get to 80psi at redline (somewhere around 7500). The reason I'm asking is I want to install an electrical sending unit for a new guage, and I can get either an 80 or 100 max.

Can someone with gauges answer this?

Thanks,

Aaron

get the 100psi one anyway. and and a oil temp guage then you will truly be the man-hoe and all the chicks will run to you as "chicks love guages."

Well, I was looking through VDO's catalog, and they have a 80 psi sending unit, then it jumps up to 150, at nearly twice the price! I think I'll just stick with the 80.

chicks love guages? oh, that could be a problem seeing as i'm building a custom all in one digital guage (that can also do logging).

Maybe they'll like my gas guage, its pretty exciting. :)

It is possible to see oil pressure higher than 80 psi, but that's only if you're pushing the car hard when it's cold. You shouldn't be doing that anyway.

I find for my use that 80 is fine (I've had both).
