Just a quick question. I am putting my head back on my block with ARP bolts and a cometic metal head gasket. Should I torque as per stock bolts/gasket torque specs or different specs? Do I have to follow the same procedure (tighten, loosen, then torque?), or just tighten the bolts all the way off the bat? BTW this is a BB DET w/ P&P DE Head. Thanks a bunch.

Sorry I wasn't referring to the difference in torque specs as a result of the bolts as much as I was to the difference when using a metal head gasket. Do I use the same torque specs listed with the ARPs still? Thanks

yes

do EXACTLY as ARP suggests. those bolts can be reused many a time if you follow the torque instructions properly.

DO NOT tighten the studs into the block unless told to do so. people always make that mistake, but if ARP doesn't say to do it, it will mess with the way the studs seat in the cylinder.

good luck
