So I went down to the local Wal-mart and was looking for my 10w 30 when I saw Mobil 1 0w 30. Of course it says on the quart-" easier start up and less restriction".
Do you guys think this is any good. I have like 140,000 miles. I think it would probably cause leaks cause its so thin.
Any input?

Might be good for the folks up in the great 'cold' north. Doubt I use it in anything warmer than freezing, so in Florida I would give a big negative!!! I think I saw some castrol syntec 0w-50!!!! once.

Hey SmoothDaddyFig,

I've used Mobil1 5W30 in MN in the dead of winter (-25 below zero) with NO heater of any kind and the bastard started right up! I can imagine needing 0W30, especially in Tampa!

I have 145k on my car , still using 5-30.

only leaks a bit around the VC, time for a new gasket I suppose.

I just haul her in to the local jiffy lube and they top it off whenever I want.

My old dead SE-R used 5-30 til the day she died.

Burned about a quart every 1000 miles though.

I live in CA, and it gets pretty hot in the summer. I usually use 5-30 in the summer, and 0-30 in winter, However, I don't notice a damn thing between the 5-30 and the 0-30. But my Buddy with an Accord told me that he can feel the diff from 5 and 0 in winter.
