Well I ordered them about 2 weeks ago and I got them friday and installed them Sat afternoon. Installation was fairly straight forward. I thought I was going to need a spring compressor but didn't. I ended up putting the top portion halfway assembled and then reinstalling the shock assembly. With the weight in the car I was able to put everything back together. I set the agx's to about 4 in the rear and the ride was beautiful. I noticed my ride before on the freeway was very bouncy, but now has settled down some. Driving around in the city the dips in the road don't need to be dodged as much. It was just my girlfriend and I in the car so I couldn't really tell you how it would ride with a full load. Overall the ride is a bit better and well worth the $97 bucks and 90 minutes of my time.

Sorry bro, couldn't be for sure about the bumpstops but you might want to try KONI. As far as my new motivational set up I am now officailly unhappy. It is clanking and clattering over every bump. Like something is loose. If anyone else has these and has remedied this problem let me know. I am gonna go and try to fix it now.

you didn't need a spring compressor? what order did you install all the bushings? I just installed the mounts in my 96 200sx ser, and have had problems with 'clunking' noises over bigger bumps. I called motivational, and they said you add more washers right below the gold washer and gold nut....still some noise not as bad.

Here's the order I have them installed from top to bottom.....

-gold nut
-gold washer (curved)
-1 metal washer (extra to get rid of slack)
-ribbed rubber washer (1 inch tall)
-the other rubber washer (hourglass shape)
-the motivational plate
-the cushion the spring sits in
-rubber washer supplied from motivational
-the metal washer supplied from motivational
-then last the bump stop

according to motivational this is the correct setup.....i'm using agx with suspension tech. springs.

any of your thoughts or ideas would be great, because if I can't get rid of the noise, i'm probably going to go back to stock seeing how I can't really tell any difference at all with them in.

thanks in advance

I have mine identically set up to yours minus the extra washer at the top. Although I did notice a difference in ride quality I haven't determined whether or not it is worth it for me to keep them in there. It almost seems like the shaft is knocking on the side of the motivational plate. I have just had a revalation! That is what it is! How would you get it so that it doesn't rock side to side against the plate?

Ok guys any ideas?

dougnosser, that last rubber bushing (hourglass shape) before the plate has a lip extended on one end. this end slips into the plate and centers the shaft so it doesn't rub. yours might be facing up. so are you telling me you aren't experiencing any noise or clunking sounds? hopefully someone else has some ideas to try to kill the sound.
