Has anyone made their own motor mounts with the castable urethane? How are they? Or does any suggest the Nismo(JWT) mounts. I dont want to spend the $250 if i can make mounts almost as good
Get the 94 shore urethane like he mentions. This is what I have. $21 and you can do all 4 mounts, probably a whole nother car if you had them there and ready to pour. Just put part number 8644K18 in the find field at www.mcmaster.com and order it up.

The ES set I've heard is a PITA because you have to grease them and press them and that pressing them in in the first place is a PITA. This is easy. Duct tape one side and pour. Let sit overnight. You are done. And yes you CAN do it with worn motor mount. If you have no rubber LEFT and have nothing but the sleeve you could do it just by positioning the sleeve and pouring around it.
I just ordered the stuff.
I have the ES inserts and I think the dog-bone inserts are excellent. However, I don't really like the design of the rear insulator and I will be trying the epoxy on that one. I'll update in a few weeks when it is finished.
im going to have to agree with ben on that...the ones you pour are so easy, messy, but easy. alot more easier than the ones you press in. just mix and pour. and mine hardened in just a couple of hours...i have yet to test them out.
I just got some urethane too. But I don't want to have my car not working for 24 hours so I'm going to hunt down some used ones from a junk yard, just need to know are all the motor mounts the same for are cars ?

You can order them from Checker/Kragen...they were like $36.00 and they had them within like 4 days. I got mine from there with no problems.
