I did find the previous owner's name imprinted in the owner's manual case plastic fomr his insurance card. I did call him when I bought it and asked him a few questions when I first got it. So looks like he moved here from Dallas. Maybe it was originally on Courtesy's lot! Or maybe it would say Richardson instead of Dallas.

So it was on a lease at first. No wonder he took such shitty care of the paint.

I bought the car on 1/6/00. Why did it take almost two months to title it I wonder?

Hmm I wonder what my carfax report would show. I'm sure the original owner beat the piss out of the car. Oh wait a minute, I bought my car NEW so if something shows up, then something is wrong.

About 90% of SE-R's were originally registered as lease vehicles, at least for the 95-98 years. This is because they were relatively easy to lease. That's what the dealer told me anyways and it held true that nearly every SE-R I ran a carfax report on was orginally registered as a lease vehicle.
