As far as the front tires wearing first, yes. Think about it, you turn with the front tires and they are the wheels that spin first to get traction. Thats why you're supposed to rotate your tires every other oil change or so.

But for your situation, sounds like there is another problem there if you got them only back in June. Doing burnouts often, have an alignment problem? Proper inflation?
My guess is your toe is out of wack. Having too much toe-out or toe-in will wear out the edges very quickly. Get an alignment.
Yes, that's very common on a FWD car that's driven hard. As Storm88000 said, rotate the tires more often to balance out that wear.

If you don't drive the car hard it may be the toe settings. Wear on the outside would indicate excessive toe-in. Wear on the inside indicates excessive toe-out.
Although the point has already been made, what is the treadwear on your tires? Remember, a lot of ultra-high and max performance tires have very low treadlife. And that being the case, if the wheels aren't frequently aligned then the tires will go bald even quicker.
Yeah, get an alignment. I got mine done for 29 bucks, after i got new tires. I used to have 712s, and boy did they not last long.

Rotate and align...I just rotate my tires every few thousand miles, and I have sorry 711's. They have lasted me a good time so far. Traction, well, that is another story.
yea i havent ever had mine aligned but i dont drive it hard either

i guess ill rotate and align them soon
Even if you dont drive hard, you still need an alignment. Bumps and potholes overtime can throw off suspension settings.

is your car lowered?
nope, stock suspension
I always drive the piss out of my car and never had issues with the edges wearing out except for the when the toe was out of spec. I ususally get an alignment at least once a year, sometimes 2-3 times depending on how the car is handling.
proper maintenance

alignment- once a year or every 10k miles
rotation- everyother oil change or 5-7k
check air once a week
uneven wear on tires are caused by camber wear and toe-in/toe out problems.

uneven wear with toe is common but it is more common with camber wear. toe usually affects feathering.

95-se-r didn't you hit a curb a while back? I though I remembered selling you a control arm.. if thats the case there could still be more damage...
