I have been hearing a little more noise than normal from my aebs header lately. I couldn't find any leaks off the block(exh manifold gasket) and none where it bolts up to the cat. I think it's the flexpipe. Has anyone else had this prob on their hotshot or aebs equip? If so what is the best way to get it repaired. I don't want to pull that mama off. I have no idea how they would fix it. Need help guys.........

If it is the flex pipe you could go to a muffler shop and the can cut the old flexpipe and replace it with a new one.

Jack Laverty complains about having to weld his AEBS flexpipe from time to time.

Thanks guys, any other experiences? I wonder would they cut the flex pipe at both ends without taking the header out of the car? That would be great. I think that would make it much quieter than it is now too. Any more info you guys could provide would be helpful. You guys are great. Thanks again.

Just curious doug, what are your impressions of the AEBS header? Dre told me to get it and I was wondering the hp gain and the sound and feel of it. Any help would be appriciated. Sorry to hear about your flex pipe by the way

Hey Doug I have heard from several guys that own that AEBS headers that the flex pipe seems to break on them, you will probably have to go to a shop and chop off the one on the header and weld on a new one. All in all sorry to hear about it.

General impressions of the AEBS header initally was that it was just noisyer. You don't really start seeing difference power wise unless you go from rolling starts or 3rd gear rolls where you are going to be in the lower part of the rpm band for a while. The car does seem more torquey off rolls and is a nice looking piece. A PITA to install! Instrucions were very vauge and had to end up breaking an A/C bracket.
