I doing a few jobs down here in Dublin, VA. It's little more than 50miles south of Roanoke. Here's the deal, I only booked my hotel until Friday, the job ran over and I need to stay till Saterday. It's Radford College's graduation this weekend and they're literally no rooms within 60 miles of here. I really need a place stay tomorrow night(friday). I live all the way in Harrisonburg so thats probably 100+ miles though... But I think I've seen a few folks that are from Roanoke.

Plus hotels are usually around $30 here in Harrisonburg, but Saturday is graduation for JMU kids, so there is going to be A LOT OF PEOPLE here lol
