First was running 14.4s and 14.3s at 98mph with the exhaust on. Removed the exhaust at the turbo and ran a

13.900 at 101.93mph

Pretty impressive for the SAME amount of boost. Half a second with removing the exhaust! DAMN!

I also don't know if it's the Ecstra 712s or the track surface, but I had traction all the way thru 1st gear almost every run. It was nuts the traction I had.

I also ran a 2000 Mustang GT with the exhaust still on and I ran a 14.42 to his 14.28 and I was pulling on him in 3rd and 4th. If he didn't pull a damned 2.0 60ft I would have beat him.

How much boost was it that you were running? My friend has a bone stock det but with a 3" exhaust and JWT S3's. At 10psi he ran a 13.9 @101 and at open boost he ran a 13.7 @103. That is a huge difference without the exhaust. What size exhaust are you running

It's just stock 7psi I am running. And again this was on street tires.

The exhaust I have is a 2.5" mandrel downpipe, stock cat, and 2.5" mandrel Courtesy exhaust. I have a 91 intake cam as well.

The only things you need to know I think are to shift at about 7500rpm in each gear and lower the front tire pressure to 20-25 psi. Otherwise you just have to learn how to modulate the gas and the clutch in 1st to obtain the most traction. I also "powershift" 2-3 and 3-4, meaning not letting off the gas at all when shifting. I am using the clutch of course. And also the shift level for all you smart alecks out there
