I use to own a 91 se, and was very happy with the car, but of course i sold it to buy a newer car. The car that I own now is one of the biggest headaches i have ever wxperiencd. The question is I seen a 1994 sentra limited, and im not sure what motor is inside the engine(of course i could look), but i would like to see if it was possible to buy a sentra se or limited and put a sr20 engine in? does anyone know what it takes to do this job, and how much? I might buy another new car soon in replace of the car i have now, but i want the sentra to be my daily driver something with a little speed, but not overly expensive.

It is possible to put an SR20 in a car that originally came with a 1.6, but it's difficult and not cheap. You need the engine, transmission, axles, computer just to name a few things. You would be better off to buy a sentra that originally came as an SER.

Thanks for the reply

I know that it may be cheaper buying a SE-R but the prices on some of the cars are high. And they come with some baggage(as all cars do), and they are far away from my location. Car cost + transporting the vehicle + minor repairs may break the 4500 mark. And to tell the truth I would rather put that into a new car. Thanks alot for the imput, and if you have any other tips let me know.
if you have 4500 to spend you can get a se-r and turbo it.
4500 (or most likely less) will get you a beautiful se-r. SOmewhere around here there is a link to an NX with less than 20k miles for about 5 grand, so 4 grand or so should get you a real nice low mileage se-r.
