Hey Guys
Chuck and I were getting ready to put my tranny on the motor today and once i bolted down the clutch it looked like this...

Has anyone had experience with their clutch looking like this before?

Can you post a pic of the flywheel? It looks like the 'step' in the flywheel has machined too deep.

looks like an pull type i just installed in an r34

It looks like the clutch disc is in backwards...I've seen that happen before...the pressure plate will look exactly like that (Diaphragm finger springs pointed inward) if you have the disc in backwards. Might want to check that before you bolt everything back together...only takes a couple minutes to be sure.

it's just a resurfaced 16ve flywheel no step on it at all.

The clutch disk has the center section protruding towards the clutch cover...if it were placed the opposite way it would hit the flywheel bolts

b15 disk and nismo cover with 16ve flywheel

i tought B15 is Pull type ?
The pic also look like pull type

SR all is Push Type Except 20V which is Pull type

Clutch disc is too thick. Simple as that. Fix is to machine the flywheel with a reverse step, or space the pressure plate out....or get a thinner clutch disc.

we thought about spacing the PP out but will end up running a different PP all together.

it's a shame but i think i value a thicker disc more so than the nismo pp
