I was bored this morning so I did a little research into our ecu's. I have recently bought a JWT ecu, but I have a spare stock one lying around.

Would anyone have any links or information about the board and the chips used on the ecu? I'm interested in finding out what kind of things JWT did to reprogram the ecu.

Thanks,

Art

From what I rememeber, that daughter board is for the eprom chips. So they can easily swap out programs for you. The stock board has no way to swap chips. Thats what they do when you mail it back to be reprogramed I think, just pop it open and pull and push new chips in.

Did you open the JWT ECU up before you put it in? I sure did. They didn't mess with the OE chips, but added a daughter board. The stock ECU looks empty compared to the JWT.

not yet, I'll rip it apart tonight and report back.

I thought they attached the daughter board only when you were planning to run nitrous ?
