It has 5th Gear Pop out. Tranny swap $500 when you can find one, or $275 parts only for 5th gear, good luck putting it in (only attempt with a FSM), or pay someone who knows what they are doing.
The shifter isnt stiff anymore(short shifter and bushings??). Bushing $12? short shifter $30 ebay?
It needs an Alignment and it clicks when you turn it. $60 alignment, CV $70???
If you do the work yourself, and feel very confident about the state of the engine (154K) then it is worth whatever you are willing to pay. Ask about when the clutch was last changed, mine was just changed for the first time on that white one you saw at about 154K, just because I swapped the tranny (5th popout). I would look at the suspension carefully, make sure he lowered it correctly, and nothing was bent causing it to never align correctly.
The bottom line is this.. NXs are rare all on their own, throw in the color, suspension, and body shape you want, they are even rarer. No matter what NX you find, be prepared to put some work into it, they are at least 12 yrs old you know.
I'd be prepared for a JDM engine swap, clutch, CV, alignment, tranny, and whatever other misc. stuff appears. Not saying you must do all of that, but I'd be prepared to do it. Go over it with a fine-tooth comb, check all major systems before making your decision. If it looks "maybe", then just go ahead and add those things to your "I've got to fix it" list. Base your offer accordingly.
