So, I am replacing the header back on the exhaust of a 1991 Nissan NX2000.

First problems are a seized EGR tube assembly and also another tube that connects to the header won't budge either. Unfortunately no Nissan dealers in the US have a EGR tube assembly so I may have to go the EGR delete route and it doesn't appear that anyone still sells the block off kits... is that correct?

Also, what exactly is the tubing that attached below the front O2 sensor on the header. I have a repair manual and it isn't in there. Is it part of a California emissions package or something?

So, after doing some research it appears to be an air injection valve line. Designed to add air to exhaust air to burn CO into CO2. So, it is emissions related and seems unnecessary other than to pass a smog test.

Charlie Salazar sells block off kits. You can find him on Facebook. He owns C’s performance.
The tube that you speak of is only specific to CA spec cars
