Well I finaly decided to post. Im one of the few Tennessee people on the list. The name is Kevin I have 93 classic with an Automatic, Yes they suck Thought I would try to liven up the board a bit.

Im one of the few to get the rare automatic classic se-r. I have thought about changing it over to a 5 speed a couple of times but I really dont know what all is involved and even worth the time and money. Have really thought about trying to find either another classic but would like to find a NXK2 5speed to satisify my shifting urges.

You could just get an aftermarket torque converter and kick some butt that way. Don't know who makes them for your car, but I know that Yank Converters makes them for most GM car RWD and FWD cars so look them up on the net (or www.ls1.com if they still have them as a sponsor) and see what they can do for you. They have UNBELIEVABLE customer service. The head of the shop's name is Mike. I think I have the phone number at home on a sticker on the side of my computer. If you call them, tell them you heard of them through the Grapevine originating from Ralph Gobel with 98 383 stroker Trans Am.

damn, a 383 ls1. I got a buddy with a 355, 11:01 cr lt1 with a monster cam and just about everything else you can do to it and it is FAST, I have seen him beat a 600 honda before, what I was going to say is that ls1 must be toooooooo fast.

http://norcal-ls1.org/ralphg/ and he's not even close to being done tuning it yet. He has an [email protected] time and he easily has 10's in that car. And it's his daily driver! I've driven it before with the 383... no words to describe... without NOS it's already Viper fast. The 275/40ZR17 Firestone Firehawk SZ50 street tires cannot even begin to hold the power. You pour smoke off the tires on a 2nd gear rolling start and you can't even TELL your are spinning cuz you are accelerating so hard. He is a GREAT guy. After he got the stroker put in I came over, he was sitting on the couch, saw me, threw me the keys, grinned, and let me take a spin by myself. He's got like an 18 year old son and he won't let him drive it, yet I was only 21 at the time and he treated me like a peer. He's got a kickass stereo in that thing too. You're going 90 before you even stop to look at the speedo. I couldn't have it as a daily driver as its just so montrous, but otherwise hell yeah! And it's an automatic (with shift kit, 2800 stall converter ) and you don't miss shifting at all.

Enough making you guys jealous I got to drive this 10 second monster by myself. I would test drive stock LS1's and they would feel slow.

ya, my buddy beats vipers also, there is a c&%ksucker that lives a few towns away (little rich boy) with a 98 gts with a cam, exhaust and a 200 shot of nos and my buddy beat him on and off the hwy. do not ask me how b/c that thing must be putting at least 650 at the rear wheels. and to top it off it is yellow with the new style forgeline looking rims

oh, I see that he has the mti kit coming from the great state of TX. that kit is really good, I know of a few ls1 ws6 with their head and cam kit and they beat ALOT of cars.

I can't believe you guys would say things like this!! We all own Sentras!!! That same car just a different engine. Sure yours is faster but the GA16 is a decent engine.
I was a little worried about our boards merging also. I thought that the SER guys may be a little snooty. Well I guess this has been proven. I am shocked really.
You say we are always talking about doing things to our car and never doing them?? I really just started on performance mods, but I have a nice ass stereo system. No not just subs!! Next weekend I am getting my exhaust piping done and my muffler put on. I decided to do that in about a month. Hows that for getting **** done. And I really just started on this.
I think everthing will be fine when we merge as long as these kind of things do not get said. It is rediculous that you would say bad things about people with non-SR20DE engines. You put all of us in this one big group and say we don't know what we are talking about. Hell maybe sometimes we just like to bullshit.
I may sound like a bitch to those of you who do not know me but I hope that when you do get to know me you will like me. If not then oh well.
I've been holding this in a little too long now. Darkside, why the hell are you so F ing ignorant. I have watched you be this way for a while now. Why don't you just chill and stop being so snotty.
