I am looking for opinions on various exaust manufactures. Most of all I want to know what does each one sound like. I am trying to avoid that "tinny, rattley, popping, rubbing" sound my Paceheader makes! Cost is no consequence. The second criteria I have set fourth is the "anti-rice" tip. I would like to avoid large tips if possible (I realize that sometimes I must give a little) The systems that have ranked high on my list is the Courtsey Nissan exaust, and Stromung. Has anyone actually heard these? What do they sound like? I would like to find a stainless exaust (304 perferred). Any others that I may be missing? Thanks in advance for any input!

I have the Greedy Sp catback I had bought for my EX (2"dia.) It is now on my SE-R. The sound is a low rumble. (Almost too quiet for my taste.) The muffler is polished SS with a 2" exit pipe. Now for whatever reason Greedy welded a 4" polished tip on it. Its not round, its kinda like a rectangle with rounded corners. The tip does not go all the way back to the muffler. So you have muffler, 2" polished pipe, then 4" polished pipe. I really do not like it, but it was the only "turn key" cat back for the Ga16de.
$600.00 list, but if you call around you can get it in the $400 range.

Hope this helps some.

I am using a 3A Racing muffler, with a custom 2.25" midpipe and 18" resonator. Doing something like this will end up saving you a few hundred dollars. but its not always the best. if you want to hear what my setup sounds like, check out this video of my car: http://horus.bx.net/serflyby.mpg

WOW whom do you host with??

I have the GReddy also. It's sound is very nice if you want that sort of thing. I replaced my stock muffler with a Stillen muffler only. It was a LOT louder than the new GReddy and with the GReddy being a cat back; I seem to have a better flow. (It should be a LOT better if I can get my Gen4 HS header on this weekend) I finally got my AIV plug! So wish me luck!

Oh forgot about the tip question. Let me tell you, I LOVE to keep the "sleeper" look as much as possible. The GReddy tip is a bit big but not that much more than the stock muffler with the silly slip on chrome ring. I will get a picture and post it when I get home for you if you wish.
