A few weeks ago my 93 NX had steam coming out of the radiator. I took it to the shop and they replaced the upper radiator hose and added some anti-freeze. Since then the car has an anit-freeze smell coming from the vents and if the A/C is on the temp guage will start going up, and when it gets to about 2/3 of the way the air won't be cold. The fan does work and the anti-freeze tests good with my hydrometer. Also the anti-freeze was flushed in May. Any ideas on what is making it smell or overheat with the AC on? Thanks.

Hmm. Maybe a clogging radiator or a bad thermostat? I'd venture a guess that the ECU is shutting off the A/C compressor when the temp goes high like that.
