I have no experience with headers, but I'd say make sure the O2 sensor is'nt bottoming out on the other side of the header! Forcing it is only going to break something. You'll either need to shorten the body of the O2 sensor, or get a new pice which is shorter, that will fit entirely in the header. Question- should the sensor not be somewhere near the middle of the pipe that it threads into? If it does'nt matter, maybe it just has to be sealed better around the thread-hole connection. Good luck.

Well if the engine light came on its definitely the 02 sensor.
Maybe you need to retap the threads on that thing and try it again.
Thats what I would do. Remember it takes about 10-15 start-ups to get that engine light to go offf once you have it in right.

Put my new Hotshot header on a week and a half ago. Went on nicely, except for one thing.

When I screwed the O2 sensor in, it didn't thread all the way on. It stuck out (and is still sticking out) about 3-4 threads worth. Consequently, the car has a rough idle, and the "service engine soon" light has come on. I have used a vice-grips, and a crecent wrench with a pipe attached to get more leverage.

What should I do now?
