Possible 15x7 GB - gauging interest.

Gauging interest in:

A group buy for ATS Comp Lite RIMS with 205/50/15
Falken Azenis. Great for autocross and street use.

Specs are:

<12lbs.
+35 offset
15"x7"
4x100mm bolt pattern.

15x7 is the preferred width for Azenis, or any
wider 15" tires. This would be a *very* sticky,
fairly light wheel/tire combo.

Estimated price is around $700 shipped.

Let me know.

What are your estimated dates for this group buy? Do you know if This wheel tire combo will rub?? Plans are to autocross/ and maybe some track time so can't have the tires rubbing on turns. thanks.
Rubbing, timeframe.

I'll figure out the timeframe as soon as I
have a little more interest expressed.

I can't really figure out jack today, being
a holiday, quite a few people are not around.

I'm *fairly* certain a +35 will not rub.

I'm positive it will clear the struts in the rear,
not certain about the fender shield in the front.

Usually rear strut clearance is the primary issue.

I *believe* they will not rub. +35 should be
basically ideal on our cars.

No pics of the actual wheels to be sold,
but you can check out ATS's web site.

www.ats-wheels.com

They are a German manufacturer.

Discount wants $724.00 shipped. I would be interested in buying these at a discounted rate but a $24 savings is not enough to entice me. If they were closer to $600 or slighty more this would be a more enticing deal. Just my opinion.

I have been thinking about buying some of these wheels but am not completely sure when I'll be able to, I was thinking beginning of the summer, but it all depends. I'd like to see the price of these drop with a gb but who knows...
I bought my Comp Lites about a day before this thread was first posted. Eh.

But if anyone needs convincing, I'll say they're great. They look good, like the offspring of a Rota C8 and a BBS RK wheel. They're light, too. My roommate's questionably accurate bathroom scale puts a 205/50-15 Azenis mounted on a 15x7" Comp Lite at about two pounds heavier than a 185/60-14 AVS Intermediate on a stock 14x5.5" Classic wheel. Not bad.

The Discount Tire picture is wrong for some of the Comp Lites. They all have eight lug holes. Here's silver:

The wheels are technically named the ATS DTC ("DTC" is stamped on the wheel), but for some reason they're marketed as Comp Lites in America. Search for ATS DTC if anyone wants more info and to see the colors we don't get.

You are looking at less than 700 shipped if you get azenis. Say you found the link on the sr20 forum.
