Whenever I shift under about 4k rpm, after the clutch is let out the car holds the same rmp's for a second before getting under and fully engaging. I don't think it is the clutch slipping, since it doesn't free-rev like it does when your clutch is slipping.. it just lags for a sec before engaging.

Im not sure what it is either, but I don know my 87' Pulsar does that also, so if anybody knows what it is, speak up.

Try checking your plugs and wires, or timing. These are just ideas I'm throwing out to ya.. No idea of if they'd help ya, but something is better than nothing
