I was visiting the Quaffe booth at the import SEMA
show Friday and had a serious talk with the guys
there.

They told me that if I could get 10 people to buy one,
they would make a close ratio overdrive, bulletproof
gear set for our transmissions.

This would solve our 3rd gear breakage problems,
especialy with turbo cars. I told him that I think I
could get 10 people no problem.

The price will be in the $2500-3000 range. They would
like to collect some sort of deposit on the first 10
transmissions also.

I am going to work with them on the specs to make sure
that they can make third gear strong enough and to get
a solid price quote before we give them any deposit.

They told me that their Civic gearset has held up to
700 hp without breaking so far. The Civic tranny is a
little better design than ours but if they can do 50%
of what the Civic one does that will work I think!

Contrary to what some list members have told us on the
last group deal for the Quaffe differential, Quaffe
has them in stock and they are $995 insted of $1500
like we were told by the dealer that did the last
group deal. Those were not the last 10 in the world
like the dealer that did the last group deal told us.

So e-mail me if you are interested. Turbo guys, your
transmission problems should be gone after this. Ben,
Jaimie, Jay, Mike, Ryan, Shaggy, Aaron you guys should
be on this list for sure. Anyone who makes decent
power should be. Anyone with an F-Max kit or a Stock
DET with the boost turned should be. Anyone who road
races a turbo SE-R should be.

I need at least 10 people to send me an e-mail showing
interest (no deposit, just show interest)before I tell
Quaffe to go ahead and to tear down a tranny to tell
me how much stronger they think they can make it and
what exactly the cost will be.

I will not give Quaffe any sort of go ahead untill I
can tell you how much stronger they can make it which
they cannot tell for sure untill they take a good look
at the transmission internaly.

I plan to keep my car for a long time so I should get one of those. But I believe you already have to have an LSD tranny to put one in. So first I'd have to get an LSD one then swap in the Quaife unit. Hmmmm....

That is awsome news. If I can afford it, yes I would be interested.

Another $2500 into a $10,000 car I already dumped $10,000 into is a bit much for me right now. That's 5 junk yard trannies for me.

I can't promise a deposit because I work for myself, and it's hard to predict the future. But if the cash is there, I'm interested.

No, if you want to use the Quaiffe *LSD*, you need a tranny that came stock with LSD. The Quiaffe gearset will work with you stock (open) diff.

Of course, you will spin your tire like mad, but the tranny won't break.
