We used all hand tools for my swap
sockets
socket wrench
impact wrench
32mm socket
torque wrench
set of open ended wrench's
masking tape and a marker to label everything(including connectors)
rubber mallet
3inch, 5inch, and 8inch extensions
I know I am missing some....
I would also advise replacing your temp sensors when you do the swap(they very often break during the swap, major PITA)
replacing your motor mounts(or ES inserts)
replacing t-stat and water pump on new motor(you will be sorry if you dont replace these 2)
it is almost a given that your EGR stuff will break during the swap so get rid of it if you can
might run into issues with the exhaust manifold, mine broke and had to be cut off from the CAT b/c of rust, I replaced it with an OBX
new gaskets, my intake manifold gasket was ok but all the rest were crap, you will need T/B gasket, AAC valve gasket exhaust manifold gasket, intake manifold gasket
