I would like to advance my timing, but I don't think I know where the damn thing is. I know it is supossed to have numbers and a white mark on it but I have not seen it. What side of the engine is it on and is it under something or can you see it rigth when you pop the hood. I looked in forums and really could not find anything.

I think I would be able to do it if I figured out what I was fiddling with. My ass may be dumb but I ain't no dumbass.

They are on your crankshaft pulley, on the edge. With the engine running and the timing light properly connected, shine the timing light (acts as a strobe light) at the lowest pulley (on the passenger side for monkeyfolk
) and squeeze the trigger. Look on the edge of the pulley. Should be plain as day.

Eric, can you make a video of this and put it up on a webpage so our monkey brethren know how easy this is?

Hmm wouldnt say that easy. I checked mine with a friends timing light and it looked good to me, around 13 to 15 or so i thought. Eric checked it and said it looked like it was on 10. So he bumped it up to 15. I trust his eyes more than mine, more timing changes on his eyes. Maybe I was looking at the wrong pic for timing marks as a reference to mine. Who knows.
