I just got a set of GR2s for my Classic to finally replace the original struts (157,000 miles). I'm thinking I should have ordered the strut mounts too as I see TireRack recommends doing so (on their site). What's the procedure for inspecting the strut mount bearings for wear? Is it foolish to spend the money on new shocks but use the original strut mounts? I ordered new lower strut bolts from Courtesy - and they should be arriving soon.
