I have two sets of Kosei K1 racing. 13.5 lb. 15X7 38mm offset

I have one set of the Kosei K1 TS at about 10lb.

You may have clearance problems with 225 hoosiers but most other 225's will fit with a 4mm spacer.

I have a b13
Do you know if they clear the 11" Wilwood fronts on B13's?

Thanks for all the help, much appreciated. Right now I'll use the NT01's but ideally I want a rim I can get up to a 215 or 225 in a Hoosier even with some spacing run with the Progress suspension. Fenders are already rolled a bit, I've only had fender clearance problems with too soft springs (350F were way too soft in a few places, we'll see about the 450's). Otherwise it's just clearance with the CO body that is tight, F or R.

15x7 K1's definitely fit over Wilwood 11".

I'd look at the Team Dynamic wheels as well. And as for finding a used set of TrakLite's, good luck. I think I've seen maybe one or two sets for sale ever, and this is multiple websites plus eBay.

Good info and pics in both these links

I can't even buy a new set of Traklites, had them on backorder for 3 months, finally found out from the distributor none to be had in 15x7 at all.

Man I'd love to get a set of the 949's, besides being a great wheel, running in "Class Miata" (COMSCC ST4) there's always the pysch value, lol!

Thanks a lot for the list, it's hard to find what fits and I did drop to an 11" rotor because I had a set, I'd like to go back higher in front next set.

I just want more tire to keep up with that swarm of pesky Miatas :)

I wish someone would buy my 16 x 7.5 K1's! This would allow me to buy another set of 949's..... Granted the 15 x 8's are all sold out again except silver and I already have a silver set and I hate the color. Call me a ricer......

Maybe the 6ULR will be out when you're ready to buy.

Even though Emilio hates it, powdercoating is your friend.

Yes, it would be uber ricey for the street, but it gives some color to my all white car for track days:

Screw that, those wheels are badass! PleAse tell me they didn't coat the wheel mounting surface? I have found in the past that coating those makes them harder to balance. Since I stopped coating that surface all of my coated wheels take similar weight on the machine.

They're the ones I had them on backorder with for June, July, ...they just keep moving the ship date out 2 weeks at a time, I talked to them and they had no idea when they'd actually get any in. They just refunded my order 2 weeks ago.

Thanks anyway, they also had the best price, but no product...

The Enkei RP02 fit over the 11" kit, but not the 11.75".

I have a set on my B13, so that I know for a fact.=) I know they don't clear the larger rotors because I have those on my B14.

I have a set of K1's in the garage that I should try and fit over the 11.75 to see if they fit. I also have a set of 15x8 +22 in the garage as well, maybe I should test fit those too. Although the larger size is discontinued.

15x7 K1's definitely fit over Wilwood 11".

I'd look at the Team Dynamic wheels as well. And as for finding a used set of TrakLite's, good luck. I think I've seen maybe one or two sets for sale ever, and this is multiple websites plus eBay.

Thanks for the clarification, I'll update that list. Funny thing is, you said in that thread that they fit.

They could not back when I went with the first order, out of stock. I would have taken those instead if in stock or near stock. I'll have to give them a shout and find out if they can get the 2's. Differences are pretty minor mostly spoke design and clearance is generous like the 1's.

I sort of get the impression that maybe the 1's are being phased out, not sure. Should have bought another set 2 years ago.

I guess you can add the Trak-lite 1's to this list (15x7) since I do know they fit well, if you're keeping a list. No spacers.

I can't say for sure they'd fit 11.75" however, they are near the rim already with the 11" Corrado rotors:

have to check for the larger rotor, not sure there is a spare 0.375" left...

Nope, they won't fit, neither will 15" Panasports.

In my opinion the 949's are the best 15" wheel on the market today. I've got them in 15x8 with 225/45-15's on my Miata. Emilio designed a real winner when he made these wheels. Hopefully he'll get to the point where they're available on a regular basis, and not just twice yearly group buys.

They were designed to be strong, and Emilio is continually improving them with each iteration of the wheel.

Steve,

Here's a few links I think you'll find useful:

^knuckleduster is running the 6UL's with no spacers on 15x8 - 225's. I thought about getting rota RB's, but these 6UL's are balla. Check out the flat black

^SEX! :eek2:

Yeah I thought the 11" wilwood kits wouldn't fit under 15" rpf1's?

I use Kosei K1's 16 x 7.5 (they are for sale)

I also have used the 949 racing 6UL's. They are the straightest wheels I have ever bought and took less weight during balancing than anything I had previously used.I have not spent enough track time on them to say they are super strong, but any other miata and honda challenge racers are using them.

I believe Volk TE37's are probably the strongest most bend resistant wheels out there but that also comes at a price.
^I hear the volk TE37's are forged to death.

Even though Emilio hates it, powdercoating is your friend.

Yes, it would be uber ricey for the street, but it gives some color to my all white car for track days:

^Joe, when did you do this? I loved them when they were black .

11.0" rotors? If so looks tight for more than another 1/4" diameter using 11.75" rotors.

One of the reasons I like the traklites so much is they have handled many thousands of road miles over all kinds of surfaces, they take next to no weight to balance (seems to vary more with the tire when using street tires anyway).

That and they are very easy to clean, just a simple 5-spoke in flat black.

IDK what "forged to death" means re:TE37's but the Rays I've used have been the lightest+strongest wheels like my 19" baller LMGT4's. Even with 19's (275/35R, 245/35F) they also took minimal weight and track smooth and straight over 100+ mph. The only argument I can find with TE37's besides cost is I only see 15x7, not 15x8, at least for sale today USDM.

Pretty similar design to TE37's and $699/wheel MSRP in 19x9.5", 19x8.5" keeping with that tradition of outrageously high list price. I only paid <$1200 NIB for these, luck of a Nissan Dealer auction on eBay. Some went for almost $2k a set, avg was about $1600.

I use Ray's on some pretty rough roads with a 35 profile tire when I'm not driving my B13's, they have been holding up fantastic. Few times I've hit something up front where I was sure I pooched the rim, no damage. Worst to date is a 1/8" scratch on one rear from a rock kicked sideways into my car by another driver.

Guess you can tell I pretty much like 5-spoke wheels, even my truck has them ;)
