I want to know which cam set would be better. I know the s4 cams produce a few more hp above 6700 rpm with a few less hp at lower rpm.

Also, would it be better to get cams or an ECU first. Eventually I'll get both but probably 6 months between parts.

Thanks for any feedback from actual experience.

I have the S4 cams and the JWT computer. A little lag up to 3500 but it pulls like hell after 5000. I dont know about the S3's though. I ran my car without the computer for 3 months, no problems(but no!!!, power under 4000). best investment yet

I have S4 cams, and for a daily driver, I thnk the S3 cams make more accessible and usable power.

However, for track use, the S4s kick more butt

JUN CAMS. I hear s3's are bette for turbocharged cars because of their lower duration.

If you were to get a mod first it should be the cams and then the ECU. About the cams, what do you want to get from them? If you are into racing then go for the S4 because where you lose power is under 4k and you probably won't spend much time there anyways but if it is just to putt around town then go for the S3. I am looking for some cams but want the most power from my 96' and was looking into the C series.

I have the S3 cams and you get a nice pull around 4000 to 6500, I wouldn't really want any higher for a 99% (currently 100%) street car.
