Anybody know if 95 G20 seats will fit in a Classic? They look an awful lot alike.

On a side note, do any racing seat makers (reclining seats please) have applications for the classic?

TIA

GREAT question. No, your NX console will be squeezed in there. I just sold my NX console because of this. You *might* be able to make it fit, and slide on the rails, okay.

I just don't drive mine on the 'street' much any more. Not on long trips or anything. So, the console had to go.

Humberto Gonzalez in CA owns it now.

Corbeau has rails that will mate any of their seats to a Classic. I know, because I have on in my '93. It's a quality seat.

Does it allow for the NX console to fit? I just got it and would hate to give it up

Yes they will fit. But they will sit about 1 1/2" taller. The reason is not the seats but the tracks. Look at a NX2000 track, a SE-R track and a G20 track. At the front you will see how each is raised higher than the next. NX2000 rails are practically flush with the floor. If you swap rails then it may work. I am still looking for classic seats reasonably priced.

So do you loose or gain any head room with any of these seat swaps? I'm a bit taller than most (6'6" or so) and it would be nice to gain a little bit more head room. What about the corbeau seats? do the brackets change the headroom? How far back is the seat mounted?

Thanks for any info!

With the Corbeau brackets, you have washers at all four corners that you can add/remove to adjust the height.

I left all of them in there (I'm only 5'10"). My helmet doesn't hit the headliner at all when racing.

With all the washers in there, the Corbeau does sit up higher than the factory seat in a Classic. I kinda' like it, as it offers better visibility.

Helps to keep from hitting those pesky little orange cones

My seat model is the ever-popular Corbeau 'Used' model
I bought it from a fellow SCCA autocrosser that I race with. It's a few years old, needs reupholstered, but is very firm, solid.

I paid all of $100 for it. A bargain.

Wish I had the model name/number for you, but I don't. It looks like what the Corbeau Targa RS might have been like, a few years ago. Just my observation.
